I miss you so much grandpa. The impact you made on me and my sisters is undeniable. It’s been 6.5 years but it feels like I lost you just yesterday. I love you so much. I will ALWAYS love you

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know him at all, but he is a hero to me and his legacy will live on through so many that he touched without even knowing us. Bless your family in health and love. I came across this while looking for a mailing address or email address for him. I am so sorry I cannot tell him this.
I was a frustrated customer service person in 2013 who also had a felony conviction. As I pondered my dead end job and limited possibilities of improving my life -everyone is happy to tell you that you CANT do anything with a felony, I came across Mr Fauteck’s story. I am now about to finish Graduate of Psychology MA degree, I start my internship Jan 19 as the last step of the degree program. I work for the State of WI as an addiction counselor now and will be a psychologist for the state of WI once I achieve licensure. I work with individuals who have been told their entire lives they CANT do anything and I am encouraging them that they can. I was hoping to tell Paul thank you via email or letter as it was his story that encouraged me to take a chance, not knowing if I could even get a license in my state.

A number of years ago I did illustration work for Paul for his book “Going Straight.” I always found Paul to be a great guy. He was motivated to help others and he had a very realistic view of himself. From his personal experiences in his youth grew someone who was inspirational to others and a source of help. He had a good sense of humor, was pleasant and fun to work with, and was enriched by Judaism. He also loved cats and gave a wonderful home to a cat I gave him, who needed a home. Lucy lived out her life in his happy place. Paul and I had lost contact after he moved so I hadn’t communicated with him for years and only just now learned of his passing. I know he’s on the other side now and is surely watching over his wonderful wife Miriam. He is united with Lucy. My best to you Paul, you were an inspiration to many. May your rest be peaceful.

I am so sorry I was unable to attend Paul’s services! I would dearly love to have lunch or dinner with you sometime soon, Miriam, and talk about our long acquaintance and shared memories in Mensa.

Paul was a friend of my dad and stepmom, Gene and Mary Snyder. When they moved to Arizona many years ago, my husband and I stayed in touch with Paul and Miriam. He’s been one of our favorite friends. We will miss him tremendously. Thank you, Paul, for touching my life in ways I cannot possibly express.
